Aather's set-up is really similar to Sabra -- amnesiac teams competing in games run by godlike beings in order to regain memories. However, the overall feel of the game is a lot different. It lacks that edge of survival/horror and there's a much stronger sense of community among the characters, of all the teams working together as one despite being made to compete.

It's actually sort of interesting to see how different the community dynamic is, even knowing that Aather functions differently from Sabra despite their similar set-up. I would say the tone of Aather is overall a lot lighter, so it's kind of nice to get to play the amnesia sans murdercave -- though Aather has its fair share of trauma games too.

I agree that the cast size is sort of daunting and Aather is really fast-paced -- mingle posts that get close to or over 1000 comments are the norm. That's all I can think up to say, let me know if you want more info about something. o/
